2-5 smoked ham hocks
2 cups of beans. Any kind will work. I like a mix of Navy and kidney. (However, don't use lentils)
Water

Place the ham hocks in a crock pot and cover with water. Add beans and cook on high for at least six
hours, then turn to low for two more. Carefully put ham hocks on a plate and remove meat being careful
not to include any small bones. Meat should fall off the bones as you clean them. Place the meat back in
with the beans and mix. No salt is necessary since the smoked ham hocks are pretty salty on their own.
